| John Deere Medical Group of
the Quad Cities, P.C. was opened in 1993 in Moline, Illinois. In 1992 construction began on the facility
and most employees were hired in November of that year. The doors opened
for patients in January 1993 with 4 physicians.
The health center was a new concept for healthcare in this area, the goal being: to provide quality healthcare at an affordable price for the entire family in one facility. New concept features also included having a pharmacy, laboratory and radiology departments on-site. In the first few years, eligibility to join the health center was based on employment with Deere & Company and it's subsidiaries and their eligible dependents within the regional area. The goal was to provide health care for the estimated 30,000 covered lives in the quad city region and reduce expenses for the company.

In 1995 the second facility
in the Quad City area was designed to provide a location in
Bettendorf, Iowa. Located on Utica Ridge it serves a portion of the Iowa
Population.
The physicians formed a separate corporation from John Deere Health shortly after the Bettendorf location was started. Thus, in January 1997, John Deere Medical Group of the Quad Cities, P.C. was born. This separation also allowed the facilities to accept patients with other types of insurance coverage and we now participate with different insurance products. In the following years both facilities have grown and changed, yet our main mission has remained; to strive toward excellence in customer care and satisfaction. Currently, the Bettendorf location has 5 physicians. Moline has 5 physicians, a nurse practitioner, and 2 physician's assistants. John Deere Medical Group of the Quad Cities, P.C. still has strong ties with John Deere Health, but operates as a healthcare facility. |
